Nigeria. West Africa's power house nation, colorfully highlighted by a boisterous and celebratory people. Nigeria. Land of the bountiful. Nigeria. Land of 234 missing teenage girls!
It may come to us all as a surprise that in this day and age, and to such a nation as mighty as the afore mentioned, that a disappearing act of such a magnitude is even a possibility. However, before our very eyes, in a sleepy village in Northern Nigeria, over two hundred young girls were abducted from their dorms by armed rebels, and as of right now, there is absolutely no lead (known to the public) as to where they are. Needless to say, this has created quite an uproar amongst the masses. The more seconds tick away, the more we all fear for these innocent souls. What could possibly be going on? More importantly, what are the armed forces of what is now the wealthiest nation in AFRICA doing to ensure that every single one of those girls make it back home safe and sound?
These are trying times indeed, and with all the interesting developments making the headlines of Nigeria's "Baby Making Camps" and "Demonic Ritualistic Gatherings" one can must only remind themselves to think as positively as possible, in hopes that those children will eventually be rescued from their captors. From our lips to God's ears... Right?
